I have been so fascinated with Greek Mythology. I like making references with them and talking about them. I really like watching anything related to the Greek Gods…whether it is on the old disney show Hercules or on the history channel. My favorite greek god is Apollo, the God of light, sun, music, the arts, medicine…and more. :P He is also an oracle; has the power to see into the future. Anyways, yea….if there is a movie besides Clash of the Titans about Greek Mythology, I am definitely seeing it. :P
Your essay is where your heart is??
This morning, I had a splendid time revising and giving advice on how to improve my group member’s essays. They did the same for me. I had such a fun time doing this that I think I went a little too far. I realized that I was basically tearing her paper apart right after I finished….and so I added lots of smiley faces :) :) :).
I read her comments on my paper, and she focused on the good things and the things that worked. I wished she didn’t go easy on me.
I guess it was for the best. I hope she won’t hold this personal on me. Wait, I am going to message her right now and tell her that I thought her paper was fun to read. (and it was….to a point….)
My other group member hasn’t given any comments on my essay yet. I hope it’s harsh but helpful. :)
I leaned on my left knee as the blood from my wound continued to flow. I looked straight into her gorgeous complexion; fair skin, no wrinkles in sight. I thought I was looking at the very aspect of what an angel was described in these so called fairy tails. However, she was no angel. Light disappeared as I sense that corrupted soul of hers rotting my very dream, bringing me back to what is now…hell.
There was a breeze that brushed our necks, massaging us with a gently, cool touch encouraging me to say something. Then the Greek Goddess Nyx covered the streets in immense darkness. I couldn’t really see anything but her dimly lit face. Carefully watching my steps on the sidewalk, I could only imagine where we were headed.
This is an excerpt from my essay. Every now and then, I will post up nice few sentences of my crappy writing. Enjoy!!~
At 11 in the morning I have to drive my sister and my cousin to Green River CC for their Junior Projects. If you haven’t experienced Kent School District’s Junior Project, then consider yourself lucky bitches. Let me explain….
Junior Project requires hours and hours of work, may even take days to do it, weeks even! Usually high school students procrastinate and wait till the last minute to do it. But the thing is, you can’t. There is so much to do and it is impossible, IMPOSSIBLE, to get this done in one day. First, you need to find places to do your Community Service at. You have to have done about 8 hours of community service. And you have to have it approved by your teacher to see if they are acceptable. And you must have each community service sign saying that you did the community service. Oh, and you have to take pictures, proving you did the community service. Then you have to write a timeline from hour to hour, saying what you have done. Then you have to write a 5 paragraph essay, writing about your experience and what you have learned from doing community service. This is only half of the project….
Second, you need to find a place where you see yourself in the future and do a job shadow. You do everything the same way as the community service part. T_T
The worst part of this project is that you need to turn it in with hard copy (like in a folder) AND through electronically. There is an online storage program that the schools use called EFOLIO. Shoot, this shit is soo fucking retarded because not only you can’t access it from home, the school’s internet is soo fuckin slow. SO uploading all these crap is a pain in the ass. Plus the whole junior class is doing this, so there is barely any room in the library. T_T
So if you have never experienced this, thank God you don’t live in Kent, Washington. oops, I need to go bring my sister now.
